Gable Conservatories

  • Bring high vaulted roofing and plentiful style to your conservatory with our Gable conservatories at Launa Windows. A perfect addition to any home, let the high glass ceiling allow the sun to pour in while giving you an added sense of spaciousness and airiness.

Gable conservatories are characterised by a glass section at the front which is vertical (rather than pitching back like in Victorian or Edwardian conservatories) to inject as much space as possible. With heaps of shape and style choice in comparison to older conservatory styles, the gable conservatory has a lot going for it. Artistic freedom is very much encouraged when designing your gable-end conservatory.

Hot summers can be tackled with blinds which work well alongside gable end conservatories to keep you cool even during a heatwave.

  • With a gable-end conservatory, the front of the roof doesn’t slope back to the centre. Instead, the front of the conservatory stays upright, like the end of a house – this is often called a sunburst effect. This is where the gable-end conservatory style gets its name from. A gable-end conservatory is square or rectangular in shape, providing you maximum space and light.

What is a Gable conservatory?

Referred to as Gable or Gable-end, these stunning conservatories uses its unusual upright front to make a statement. Rather than having a front section of roof that pitches back at an angle, the “gable” of a gable-end conservatory stays flat. Many people choose to decorate this area with a sunburst decoration, but you are free to use colour or leading to customise your gable conservatory however you want. Two sloping pitches on each create a vaulted ceiling which gives a heightened sense of space. Choose from many designs to find your personal Gable conservatory today.

Why choose a Gable conservatory?

It gives lots of practical, useful space as a gable-end conservatory is usually square or rectangular. Originating around Georgian times, gable conservatories really emphasise period features. However, you don’t need a traditional house to make the most out of a gable conservatory. Well-ventilated and sunny, gable end conservatories feature all you need for a stylish extension to your home.

Front sections are positioned vertically so that you feel the air and space. This encourages more ventilation than other types of conservatory.

When it comes to decorating your conservatory space, you will find it easy to furnish the space with chairs and sofas – brilliant for when you’ve got visitors! However, if you are not sure a gable conservatory would suit your home, reach out to us for a chat.

Are Gable conservatories energy efficient?

Here at Launa, we use high-quality materials to manufacture our energy-efficient gable conservatories – just as we do with all of our products. We source the best materials in order to provide you with conservatories that are pleasant to live in all year round and in all weathers. Our double and triple glazing will keep the cold air out, and our high-performance frames will stop draughts in their tracks. Tiled roofing for conservatories is a popular option for our customers as not only is it energy efficient, but is stunning to look at. The options we offer let you choose how you want to keep your conservatory energy efficient, whilst retaining all the light that you love about your gable conservatory.

Are Gable conservatories secure?

We manufacture our gable conservatories locally, focusing on using toughened materials that will prevent break-ins from occurring. Our products are made with approval from the Secured by Design initiative – a police-led campaign aiming to reduce crime and improve neighbourhood security.

Specifically, our locks and glass are made tougher and more complex to deter any potential burglars. Products are reviewed to make sure they are manufactured with the latest security technology to keep you safe. Although we work hard to ensure your ultimate security, there are a few things we recommend all of our customers do.

Firstly, be sure to remove precious or expensive possessions from the eyesight of outsiders. You can also install cameras for extra reassurance. These are key for those times your home is left vacant, whether just for a few hours or longer. Get in contact  with Launa Windows if you think we could help you with your conservatory’s security.
