Roof Trim & Fascias

  • Roof trim and fascias bring your home’s exterior together neatly. Fascias are placed at the bottom part of the roof to provide support for roof tiles. They are also support guttering by giving it something to attach itself to. Roof trim runs around the entirety of your roof, working hard to not let moisture into your roof. Roof trim and fascias are a great way to add some style too; they are the perfect mix of functionality and fashion.

At Launa Windows, we offer fascias and roof trim that work as an elegant addition to your home. They are available in all colours of the spectrum, as well as styles galore, giving you a small but mighty way to show off your personality. We measure them carefully to make sure they fit snugly to your home’s exterior and will remain secure there for many years. For a clean and simple look, go for white. Alternatively, we have darker fascias and roof trim available if you prefer to keep consistency with your home’s roofing. If you want to add some quirkiness to your house, why not go all-out with a vibrant colour?

Common Questions

What is a fascia?

A fascia is a delicate board you see on some houses. It runs around the perimeter of the house at the lower part of the roof, and protects guttering from leaking into the roof itself. As they have such a pretty yet dainty design, fascias are an easy way to inject some colour and personality into your home. If you have some which are failing to protect your home from outside damp, we encourage you to get them replaced. Wooden fascias, for example, are not as effective as their material can rot if neglected. If you require some new or replacement fascias for your home, let us know and we can arrange a home visit when appropriate for you.

What does roof trim include?

Roof trim encapsulates a variety of different things such as fascias, soffits, and cladding –  to name but a few. Therefore, this term is used rather loosely for any items whose purpose is to protect the roof and its more vulnerable parts. Roof trim makes your roof weather-proof so that you don’t have the problem of damp entering your roof and potentially your home’s interior. When damp gets into your home’s interior, it can result in degradation and ongoing rot – both of which could require bigger replacements than just a roof trim. This is why it is so important to be aware of when yours needs an upgrade. If you have roof trim which requires an update, contact us to discuss replacing it.

What is the difference between bargeboard, soffit and fascias?

Their locations vary from one another. Bargeboards are present at the gable end of the house (at the front), soffit is parallel to the ground and fascias are located around the roof. They can all provide some form of protection for different parts of the house. However, they can complement one another in terms of colour and thus, become a practical and aesthetically pleasing part of your home.

How long do roof trim and fascias last?

As always, the material chosen heavily contributes to its life span. Nowadays, much of our roof trim and fascias are made with uPVC which is long-lasting and doesn’t require too much attention to maintain it. It is a rather modern-looking material that will keep your home not only safe but also looking neat. At Launa Windows, our installers are well-trained and experienced in installing roof trim and fascias that will look good and last for years.
