Home Inspiration

Bespoke Designs

It isn’t all about the appearance. We craft our porches carefully to achieve the highest standard of security. We include intricate locking systems with tough door material and thermally toughened glass to form the most secure porch possible.

If you want your porch to have lots of light, a glass roof may be your best bet. Tiled roofs are an option for those who want it to be as warm as possible. Polycarbonate roofing is a wallet-friendly option, without sacrificing any style or safety. These options are all up to you. Porches can bring you lots of storage or another place to relax whilst you unlace your shoes after a long, hard day.

Roofing & Security

We offer a variety of porch roofs, but the most suitable one for you depends on your own individual needs. If you prioritise having a thermally efficient porch, then we recommend a tiled or polycarbonate roof. On the other hand, if you prioritise having natural light, then we recommend a glass roof.

For your peace of mind, all of our porches are built to the highest standard. This means that you can create an original and attractive new entryway into your home in Exeter, Devon, or the surrounding area without worrying about personal security. Our porch doors also include multi-point locking systems for additional security.

Frequently Asked Questions

What areas do you serve?

We serve Exeter, Devon, and the surrounding area, including Torquay, Plymouth, Exmouth, Cornwall, Somerset, Newton Abbot, and more.

Do porches need foundations?

You will need foundations to have a porch installed to steady it for all possible weather. We will come to visit to assess your foundations before we start installing your porch. Our assessments involve testing to see what soil you have to give us an idea of how deep the foundations need to be. Even if you are only planning a small porch, foundations are essential to keeping the porch from tilting or subsiding over time. We install porches to last and to become one with the rest of your house.

How big can a porch be without needing Planning Permission?

Porches can normally be built without the need for planning permission. This is because the development is small enough to be considered “permitted development”. If it does exceed the norms of size, you may need to seek planning permission.

In order to not have to apply for planning permission, your porch cannot be larger than three metres squared. There should also be a distance of at least two metres between your property and a public road, and the porch cannot exceed three metres in height. Although this seems specific, organising your porch can be a really easy process.

Does adding a porch add value to your home?

Porches are very visible from the front so that it may add kerb appeal to viewers and potential buyers.
